So, our music forum is pretty dead. I don't know, I like music, I thought maybe this would spark some conversation. Maybe. Anyways, what do you guys rank as your top 5/10/15/whatever albums?

Ummm...  weird, because there's a bit of variety in mine... but here. No order, but my top 5 favorite albums since 2000 that I can think of right now.

Kanye West - College Dropout

Shinedown - Leave a Whisper

Sick Puppies - Dressed Up As Life

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Stadium Arcadium

Eminem - The Marshall Mathers LP or The Eminem Show

Don't know actually about Stadium Arcadium. Tough question, but an interesting thought. As more people respond, it may change a lot.

This is far too hard for me. I have so many different albums I go through that I love.

Since it came out I've been listening to Imagine Dragons - Night Visions a lot, but I don't know whether it would be on an ultimate list.

The one album I can list as my ultimate favourite of all time is Kanye West - College Dropout.

Others which spring to mind:

Kanye West - My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy

Jay Z - The Blueprint

Jay Z - The Black Album

Kanye West & Jay Z - Watch The Throne

Lil' Wayne - The Carter III

Atmosphere - The Lucy Ford

Atmosphere - God Loves Ugly

Atmosphere - Sevens Travels

Drake - Thank Me Later

Drake - Take Care

Rage Against The Machine - Rage Against The Machine

Michael Jackson - Off The Wall

Michael Jackson - Thriller

Oasis - Definitely, Maybe

Oasis - Whats The Story Morning Glory

Fall Out Boy - Infinity On High

2Pac- All Eyez On Me

2Pac - The Don Killuminati - The 7 Day Theory

Eminem - The Slim Shady LP

Eminem - The Marshal Mathers LP

Eminem - The Marshal Mathers LP 2

Dr Dre - The Chronic

The Notorious B.I.G - Ready To Die

The Notorious B.I.G - Life After Death

The Killers - Hot Fuss

The Killers - Sams Town

Jack Johnson - Brushfire Fairytales

HIM - Razorblade Romance

Joe Bonamassa - A New Day Yesterday

I don't know whether I can make a top 5. Kanye West's College Dropout is the one I can safely say I NEVER skip a track. It's a Greatest Hits collection on it's own album.

Joe Bonamassa is the man.

Anyways, I tried my top 10 favorite albums. It was tough. #1-5 are pretty consistent, the rest are constantly changing. <_<

Just realized after I typed this that I mixed up album titles and artists.

Queens of the Stone Age - Songs for the Deaf

Wasting Light - Foo Fighters (or the self-titled album)

Rust in Peace - Megadeth

basically any Metallica album except St. Anger is pretty kickass

Red of Tooth and Claw - Murder By Death

Down - Down

Sparkle and Fade - Everclear

The '59 Sound - The Gaslight Anthem

Plastic Beach - Gorillaz

Morning View or Make Yourself - Incubus

Killadelphia - Lamb of God (I kind of hate myself for this since Lamb of God has been kind of lame since, but this album is still heavy without being butt rock)

Octahedron - The Mars Volta

Pretty Hate Machine - Nine Inch Nails

Gods of the Earth - The Sword

Tenacious D self-titled

Them Crooked Vultures self-titled

Reflektor - Arcade Fire

Unplugged - Alice in Chains

Slaughter of the Soul - At the Gates

Paranoid - Black Sabbath

Danzig - Danzig

Permission to Land - The Darkness (seriously)

Random Access Memories - Daft Punk

...Like Clockwork - Queens of the Stone Age

Also, I know it's a local band, but for my money, This Is the Devil In Me by The Serpent Son is one of the most heavy goddamn 25 minutes of music I've ever heard in my life.

I've been diggin' Phantogram a lot lately, too.
