Daenarys bores the crap out of me on the tv show. Jon Snow is possibly my favorite character in the book, mostly because his back story is a big fucking mystery.

Yeah i think she's really boring to but I actually quite enjoyed her story in the books.
Jons just the fucking man. Him and Tyrion are my favourites.

I do however like Aryas story on the show now she's been with Tywin.

Who do you think, when it is allll said and done, will be considered the "main character" of this whole series?

Right now it looks like either Tyrion, Denayris or Jon Snow. They have the most compelling stories.

I don't think we've heard the last of Bran. His dreams must mean something. He's not just disappearing.

I hope Arya just becomes a badass killer and takes her revenge on everyone.

When the smoke clears the most important characters will probably be Jon and Denayris...they're both Targaryen's after all. :shifty:

I mass viewed seasons 1-3 in November and December 2013 and have no idea how far along the show was in fall of 2012 when this was posted... but Jon Snow to me is the ultimate central character, with Tyrion and Daenarys being near equal in importance. All of your other points are on point

I'm fairly certain we were just coming off season 1 in this topic thank you very much and she was fucking boring back then...so get over it asshat.

Funny you bring this up because over the last week I got the first two seasons for free on Ultra Violet from a guy who didn't know or care about the digital content he just wanted the bluray. So I can now view them in 1080p on Vudu, Flixster or iTunes...I wish they'd had the third out already too, lol.

If he continues to follow the books, the belief that these characters are central just gets stronger and stronger...this guy writes a hell of a story, but really I need another fix, book 6 is like a long way off I think. :(

I addressed that indirectly in the next post :D . In all honesty, from the first episode she was shown with her brother, I was interested in her more than most characters in the show... find her smoking hot.

I haven't read any of the books, as I'd never really describe myself as a reader. How does it hold up with the show as someone who partakes in both?

It's pretty fucking close, not spot on, but close enough I believe I could spoil the next few seasons for you. The best part is, on the show you don't have the twenty pages describing in visceral detail the placement of each spoon and splinter on each board...that may be extreme but that's how his writing feels sometimes.

Not long to go until the new season!

A question i've been thinking the last few days. Game of Thrones debuts the same night as Wrestlemania, do you think either of the ratings will be slightly effected by this? Game of Thrones is pretty massive.

I don't think either will have much impact on the other. Obviously there are some who go between both worlds...  us. I doubt if there will be too many people who don't order Mania because of GoT. Some possibility of people maybe pushing their GoT watching-session back some. Really don't think too much intermingling is out there.

I suppose you're right. I think I was just looking too much into it. I guess with the option to watch stuff like GoT at a later time/different day, those wrestling fans will just do that...as would I if I lived in America.

I'm ready, but I'm torn between watching it week to week or waiting two months and binge watching that shit. :(
