I know over the years I have said I want to get this place active. I know I have said I want to get a website. I know it never happened.
I'm back on the thoughts of getting this place up and running again. I also want to try teach myself a bit of coding over time.
I was playing around and trying to move the latest posts to e-c.net. I wanted to see if it was possible so we could intergrate the forum onto a website, it looked far too tricky for a basic knowledged person like myself.
So I did a bit of digging and come across IP Content. It's basically the forums admin panel but in website form. It also allows the integration to bring stuff from the forum to the website. This could have a positive effect on both the forum and website. Plus if i'm looking into it right, it would make things easier for you guys to get access to edit content on the website.
The thing is, I really need a license for Invision. This forum has never been run on an official license, so it's difficult to do stuff with.
The cost of the license, IPBoard and IPContent would come to $213/£140.
Now I dont mind paying the bulk of money, but was thinking if anyone could chip in too, we could possibly advance this place. Realistically, if I could raise a minimum of 1/3 of the funds, I would probably purchase the upgrades etc.
Just wanted to see thoughts on my plans and whether anyone would be willing to donate some cash? Dont worry, I dont plan on taking your money and running, I think the fact I've paid for around 10 years is proof of that!
